This event has ended.

Media: Crafts, Other, Video installation, Performance Art
This exhibition presents Erina Kashihara's life's work: art using the body and light. This installation combines the aesthetics of the female body with the energy of LED lights to make a futuristic mode of art which blinks on and off in response to people's voices and pulses. There will also be a film work on display and a collaborative work using lasers made with Keiichi Tanaka.

Reviews
Kashihara designs beautiful dresses for women made out of fine metal structures that follow the contours of the female body with criss-crosses of LED studded wires. These dresses have a dramatic presence in the dimly-lit gallery. The LEDs glimmer like unfamiliar jewels.
