A large exhibition of 250 sword furnishing from the Mitsumura Collection. From 1898 to 1908, the founder of Mitsumura Printing Company, Toshimo Mitsumura, also known as Ryushido, collected over 3,000 pieces of weaponry while running the business. Nezu Museum owns the biggest part of that collection, with over 1000 pieces of mostly sword related items. The so-called Mitsumura Collection consists of fancy sword decorations with ingenious hinges and abundance creativity that illustrates the high level of gold and laquer craftmanship of that period.
