The Taro Okamoto Contemporary Art Award, known as the Taro Award, awards the excellent achievements by artists that follow Taro Okamoto's spirit of breaking away from tradition and rules to produce works with visionary ideas.
This year marks its 10th anniversary, and 16 artists were selected in the first round from 614 submitted works. From those works, three were selected for the Taro Award, Toshiko Award, and Special Award.
