New works by Junya Sato including: 'Boundary Surface', which depicts oil slicks over the lake, 'For You', which expresses the world from the viewpoint of a fly, and the series 'Super Nova'. All of these works were inspired by Sato's stay in Germany this summer.
"Picturegenic" is a word that Sato made up, combing the words 'picture' and 'genic' to mean 'light up through paintings'. Sato's hope that the genics of pictures will go on forever, regardless of time or space.
This exhibition is being held simultaneously at Aoyama｜Meguro.
