This event has ended.

The Harima area, present day Hyogo prefecture, is situated almost in the middle of Japan in between the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea. Prosperous because of its location, it was visited by many writers and artists during the Edo Period who took in the beautiful scenery during prolonged visits there and left them behind in the form of writings and paintings. Based on the Edo paintings of Okyo Maruyama, Rosetsu Nagasawa, Kansai Mori and Jakuchu Ito, this exhibition is showing together anything from calligraphy to ceramic works, presenting works which are connected to the Harima area.
