At Nishimura Gallery
Media: Illustration, Painting

New works by Kumi Machida, the sensation of MOT's Annual 2006 "No Border" - From Nihonga to Nihonga. Mixing two themes: beautiful materials of Japanese-style paintings, and the chaos and unease of modern times, all of Machida's works are centered on the subject of the human body. They are structured so that they express the sense of discomfort that can be felt in reality. Some works include: 'Hiking', 'First Contact', and 'Relation'.
