"Radical Advertisement" Exhibition

Ginza Graphic Gallery
Finished

Artists

Norio Nakamura, Masahiko Sato
Norio Nakamura and Masahiko Sato have collaborated on the creation of numerous works that express their unique world view, including software for the I.Q. computer game and the graphics for Tetopettenson (The Japanese version of "Le beau tambour") in NHK’s "Minna no uta" series. This is the first exhibition of their well-known “Radical Advertisement” series published in the magazines, Relax and Casa BRUTUS, which features corporate logos and products from the point of view of art. On display will be graphic advertising works about 30 corporations or products made without permission, as well as the props created for the photographing of these works, and also some new works created for this exhibition. The show will offer a space in which to rediscover the meaning of “Radical Advertisement”, which could perhaps be taken as a liberal translation or super-paraphrasing.
