"Works from the Soil: Life meets Mother Earth in the Collection" Exhibition

Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery
Finished
The Tokyo Opera City Collection runs to over 2,600 works, including oil paintings, Nihonga paintings, woodblock prints, sculptures and craft works, mainly made by post-war Japanese artists. From this large and distinguished collection, the gallery is presenting works to the theme of "land" and "earth". The show invites you to see the spread of nature's power through various expressions such as ceramic works, expansive sceneries, as well as paintings and prints that use the motif of plant roots embedded in soil.
