This event has ended.

This exhibition presents the collection of Tomio Isahai, who ran a private museum in Maebashi City before passing away in 2001.
Isahai was born in 1930, and joined the Bank of Japan where he worked at the Maebashi Branch. He was an artist on the side as well as an active participant in promoting avant-garde art in Gunma Prefecture. Isahai met new artists and gallery owners on his business trips, and by the time he retired in 1991, his collection had grown to over 400 works. After retirement, he remodeled his Maebashi home into a gallery, and opened "Isahai Bell Image Museum".
