SD Review attempts to express the hardship of bringing a 2D architectural design to life, through displaying drawings and models that detail the changing thought processes of the architect throughout each project. Since Fumihiko Maki suggested the idea in 1982, this is the 25th exhibition to date.
In addition to the annual "SD2006" (a book featuring reviews and articles about SD Review), this year Kagoshima Publishing Company is also releasing "SD25 (tentative)", a 25th anniversary digest book, in September.
