Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) was established in Paris, France in 1952 to form an international network of graphic designers. It currently has 360 members, including 24 Japanese, from 31 countries. Since 1956, the AGI Design Congress has been organized every year at different locations throughout the world. This year is in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto), it is the second time in Japan after eighteen years since the last time in Tokyo in 1988.

This exhibition is one of the four different exhibitions, held during the congress. 75 AGI members, 56 overseas and 19 Japanese, design KAKEJIKU, hanging scroll, which is a represented form of Japanese traditional art.
