Alexander Gelman "New York Connection"

Ginza Graphic Gallery
Finished

Artists

Alexander Gelman
Based in New York, London and Tokyo since 1986, Alexander Gelman, known as Gelman or Glmn, has been a truly active and impressive presence. Produced from a radical and extremely rational perspective, his works span a wide range of media including graphics, web design, and film. In 2001 the Museum of Modern Art in New York listed Alexander Gelman among the “world’s most influential modern and contemporary artists in all media.”
This will be Gelman’s first large-scale retrospective exhibition, though it will include a number of new and ongoing projects. Also on display will be experimental pieces little known in his 20-year career, such as the film entitled “elemental visual narratives,” which has not been publicly shown before.
Gelman will be in Japan from mid-June in conjunction with the exhibition.
