Kenji Mizoguchi
2006 marks the 50 year anniversary of Kenji Mizoguchi's death. His works, which offered highly subtle camerawork to sharp and discerning audiences, are famous both in Japan and respected all over the world. The National Film Center is responding to this important anniversary by showing 34 of the director's works as well as a documentary that reveals the secrets of his creative processes.
