Technological advancement doesn't necessarily mean that we are free from physical or psychological burden. Seen in the news nowadays, people might be suffering mentally even more than before. We are facing problems that cannot be solved by rationalism or scientific advancement. The younger generation escaping into virtual worlds such as the internet and video games is a serious issue in society.

Given this social background, this exhibition focuses on artists who have begun creating work based on hardships and struggles in their lives. Some works speak of personal suffering, and some portray a certain state after overcoming the hardship.

"Chaosmos" is a coined word combining "chaos" and "cosmos." This exhibition is a survey of the current art scene and aims to explore the direction of contemporary art relating to these themes.
