MAD Special Lecture vol. 4 "Politics of Art and Space"
This event has ended.
At A.I.T. Room
Media: Art Talk
Concepts of art are changing dramatically. Art used to take place only in certain places like museums or galleries. In recent years, art has departed from those designated spaces and started to occur in various contexts: the city, nature, cyberspace, daily life and many other spaces. What kind of relationships exist between art and space? What could evolve from cultural, social, political and economical spheres?
This lecture series will be conducted by Yoshitaka Mohri, an associate professor at the graduate program of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts & Music. He will talk about the "spaces" that are communicated in the art of today.
Dates: September 21st (Fri), 22nd (Sat), October 5th (Fri) , 6th (Sat).
