Working across a number of different disciplines from crafts, graphic design, installation and photography, the Swedish duo of Andreas (b. 1974) and Fredrika (b. 1977) represent a new generation of Scandinavian creators working today. As the borders between genres becomes less rigid and many exhibitions explore this emerging trend towards ‘cross-over’ art, the work and Andreas and Fredrika is both highly conceptual and visually accomplished. They have worked with the Japanese creators graf as well as on a special commission project with IASPIS in the past.
In this special lecture they will discuss an exhibition held this summer in Stockholm. The talk will consist of eighteen theses or thoughts on design, connected to their previous works.
Andreas and Fredrika will stay in Japan for three months and are also due to speak at The Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, Kyoto University of Art and Design and at Kyoto Saga University of Arts.
