This artist moved to New York 40 years ago with dreams of "exhibiting with Warhol and Jones." This exhibition introduces the dramatic story of his success. He first painted the subway composed of numerous "holes" to represent the anxiety one feels in a foreign country. This series was critically acclaimed in the New York Times for its apt portrayal of New York City and made his name known to the public. His next series that depicted concentrated big city energy through a newsstand featuring multilingual publications further boosted his popularity. His contract with OK Harris Gallery where he has held more than 10 solo exhibitions over the years completes the story, as it was run by Ivan Karp who discovered Warhol.
