Hiroyuki Katsumata "Hanana Fufumu -flower bud-"
This event has ended.
This artist happened to discover abstract sumi (Japanese ink) painting when he was feeling frustration at the limitations to spacial expressions through oil painting. His first work "autumn" was a result of throwing sumi ink against a canvas, and the "Hana Fufumu (flower bud)" series developed from there. The work has been exhibited at art fairs in Belgium, Italy and America to much acclaim. This artist's acquaintances have uttered the term "Bongaichinyo" after viewing his works that are an expression of liberation from any kind of inconvenience.
*Bongaichinyo is the fundamental ideology that the Upanisad philosophy from India is based on.
