This event has ended.

This is the third installation of the "Modern Living Art Exhibition." In these times when society seeks out spiritual sufficiency through its desire for goods, the works exhibited recognize the important part that paintings play in this process. The approximately 60 original paintings and prints that are on display - consisting of portraits, still lifes, scenery, and pop art - are vivid and reflect the varied tastes of those who live in today's world full of sensory stimulation.

Works of four artists that represent the Modern American Impressionists and two Australian modern artists will be displayed. Also, works by Taro Hakase, a musician who also creates pop art, will be on special exhibit as will unique cardboard works by artists of Kubou-E, a social welfare institution that aims to promote social participation by mentally handicapped people.
