Rokuro Taniuchi
At Rokuro Taniuchi Gallery in the Yokosuka Museum of Art, Rokuro Taniuchi's original drawings for the cover pages of "Weekly Shincho" from the first issue to his last work are introduced chronologically. Works made in 1960 are on view during the first half of the exhibition period, and works created in 1961 will be exhibited after December 3rd.

Among the cover designs Taniuchi created, some works incorporate playful techniques. For example, in one work, he mixed sand into the paint he used, and in another work he used a hairnet to represent a fishing net. He explored these techniques in order to express certain materiality and textures in printed work.
