Yoshihiro Suda Exhibition

Gallery Koyanagi
Finished

Artists

Yoshihiro Suda
Suda consistently carves plants out of magnolia and always seeks the best way to install them, and in doing so, the viewer suddenly becomes aware of the significance of the space, which turns into a part of the piece.

He takes the same approach every time, but the one thing that doesn't remain the same is his skillful craftsmanship, which is a highlight of this exhibition. He says that he never gets tired of carving.

Suda says, "my job is to keep doing the same thing with humility." This exhibition consists of his recent works, and yet those plants will perform in the way they always have. Another significant element of this installation is that Gallery Koyanagi's exhibition space is different from when he held his last show: it will be exciting to see how he controls the space.

Opening Reception: June 26th (Tue) 18:00-20:00. The artist will be present.
