O Jun's first solo exhibition in five years will feature a series of work that is the culmination of a career during which he has consistently been producing 2D works: the "Yuen (playful garden)" series of twenty-three 172 x 116cm paintings.
O Jun's motifs consist of the people and things we see in our daily lives. The scenes he selects are not chosen for their relation to his experiences or stories, but because they are inscribed in his memory as a pure form.
This exhibition is unlike O Jun's previous exhibitions at Mizuma Art Gallery in the sense that there is no clear theme. The artist states that he wants people to experience what is visualized here with their five senses, rather than to search for the meaning.
