This is the 20th exhibition of "The Second Stage at GG" series. The Hitotsubo Exhibition that were started in 1992 with the aim of encouraging young artists has reached its 15th year, and many of the 648 past competitors have become successful in various fields of design. The purpose of the GG series is to follow the activities and successes of some of the past recipients of the Hitotsubo award.
The photographer being introduced in this 20th exhibition won the 1st Hitsubo Award for photography in 1992 and has been active since in solo and group exhibitions. This exhibition will feature shrines and temples around Tokyo that the artist has been photographing in recent years. As he walked the streets wanting to capture scenes reminiscent of the "good old Showa days", he found himself drawn to shrines and temples.
