Yasuo Kuniyoshi (1889-1953) was a painter who developed his career in the U.S. during the tumultuous period from the early 20th century to the postwar years. This small show presents more than twenty pieces, mainly from the works donated to the museum after the 2004 retrospective as well as from the collection, including his early humorous pieces and images of women suggesting anxiety in the time of war.
