In this solo exhibition, the artist explores the town of "Daikanyama," a place unknown to him, and paints what he feels. The image of "Daikanyama" as a bustling, stylish place is deeply rooted, but unexpected sides of the town and undiscovered corners still exist. The artist has created faithful expressions of his reactions to places and scenes in "Daikanyama" by stripping it of the solidified image and treating it without special thoughts or unnatural pressure. What remains is the remnants of a city undergoing change and scenes that will encourage us toward new discoveries. 30 paintings of various sizes will be on display.
