Where does the eccentricity that is immediately recognizable in this artist's films come from? The anachronic sequences that come and go randomly, the dance of the dead enacted by nameless people on multiple screens? These performances that incorporate everything from daily acts to the exagerated expressions of expressionist theater, to the odd gestures of contemporary dance are a rarity in contemporary art and incomparably unique. What can be seen through the eccentricity on the surface is the absurdity of human existence - the unreasonableness of life's conditions in which consciousness and existence are hopelessly intertwined, manifested in shadows of convulsive frustration and silent insanity. Those are the conditions in which we live today, but this artist has not given up hope. She depicts with a sense of humor the tragedy of humans that can't escape from this prison. She views the absurd and undecidable conditions of existence objectively, and in turn urges the viewer to do so as well. In doing so, she hints that there is possibility for change in the future.
