"European Film Classics: From the National Film Center Collection" Screening

National Film Archive of Japan
Finished
Europe has a wide range of culture to be proud of. Many high-quality films have been produced not only in Italy, Germany, France, and also in other countries to which Japanese audiences have not had as much exposure. The Film Center has introduced many films created in different countries, including 15 European countries.

This series presents a total of 23 films made in 9 European countries from the Film Center's collections. Rare films such as silent films made in Denmark in the 1910s, an early Czech film, and a Hungarian film from the 1950s will be shown in addition to the more well known masterpieces.

From December 4th through the 9th (Program 1 to 6), silent films will be screened with live piano accompaniment.

Please check the film center's website for schedules and details.
