"Sceneries of Water - From Monet and Daikan to the Present Day" Exhibition

Yokohama Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Claude Monet, Hasui Kawase, Kagaku Murakami, Heihachiro Fukuda, Shinsen Tokuoka, Naofumi Maruyama et al.
Sometimes we are relaxed by a calm scene of a water pond with floating water lilies, and sometimes we behold a roaring waterfall in awe. Sceneries of water never leave us without some feeling. This exhibition holds approximately 100 works of various time periods, countries and media.

Since the seaport opened in Yokohama, the city has cultivated its own original culture. Yokohama is celebrating the 120th anniversary of its founding. With Yokohama being the origin of Japan's modern water system, the Yokohama Museum is holding this exhibition to reveal the beauty of the water that surrounds us.
