After the boom of nude photos with uncensored pubic hair lost its strength as a form of expression, powerful nudes that grabbed your attention disappeared from photography books and exhibitions. It was Kishin Shinoyama who restored nudes, a timeless theme in photography, to their former glory.
Shinoyama blazed the way for a world of photo entertainment and is at the top of nude expression in Japan. These past few years, he has worked with digital photography with the model Nana Natsume as his muse. Natsume went so far as to shave her head to join Shinoyama in his quest for creative beauty. This exhibition will display new, electrifying photographs that showcase Shinoyama's sense of aesthetics.
