Artists

Eiko Tanaka
Born in Osaka in 1969, Eiko Tanaka studied art in Kyoto. She has mainly been creating lithographs and copper plate prints, using vivid colors and surprising compositions. Her works depict ordinary scenes from daily life as seen from her unique point of view.

This exhibition titled "Into the Forest" focuses on the image of a forest as a metaphor for another world. Depicting strange situations in which things that can usually be ignored suddenly become important, or when something that is totally ordinary suddenly appears to be a different - her paintings convey uneasy and even insane emotions that refer to the works of David Lynch.
