Takako Asumi
Some people have probably seen Takako Asami's work this year already. She was in the 26th Sompo Japan Art Foundation Juried Exhibition, and the 2005-2006 Agency for Cultural Affairs Purchased Award Exhibition. She also received funding from the Agency for Cultural Affairs this year to spend a year making art in the U.S.
She tries to set up the best environment in which she can create art, enthusiastically approaching new possibilities in painting. This exhibition includes 10 of her recent large scale paintings.
