Konomoto Exhibition

Living Design Center Ozone
Finished
Big trees have shapes like houses. Trunks come out of the ground, branches and leaves reach out into the sky like a roof over the room-like spaces underneath. The feeling one gets of being wrapped up into a big tree may be similar to the feeling of being protected by a house. Traditionally many trees and grasses were used in constructing Japanese houses, almost as if they are from nature. Daily life and play are played out in spaces carved out by big trees in this exhibition. Tree textures and heights are part of the setting in which children and adults can have some fun experiencing a different way of life and play.
