The aim of the international art festival "Artist as Activist" is to create a relationship between the citizens of Tokyo and the city's history, culture and environment through contemporary art. Inviting artists from abroad and in Japan, this festival presents performance art events at various public spaces. Through these projects that involve social contact, this exhibition aims to foster a dialog between the artists and Tokyo citizens.

The festival has three categories:
A: City project (October 8th - 14th)

B: Live performance art (October 8th - 14th)
Venue: Several public spaces
C: Video screening night (October 14th, 19:00-22:00)
