"Aloha! Hokule'a" Exhibition

BankArt Studio NYK
Finished
In April 2007, a Hokule'a canoe came to Japan from Hawaii. Without any navigational instruments such as GPS, maps, or compasses on board, this canoe proved that it is possible to voyage over the ocean by celestial navigation - the traditional way of travelling. This exhibition will cover Hokule'a travels from Hawaii to the Micronesian islands and to the final stop of Yokohama this June. As a commemorative event, "Aloha, Hokule'a", a children's workshop is being held, and a lecture on the Hokule'a canoe is planned.

*The studio is closed to the public when lessons are underway.
