This artist has been creating works using pornographic images downloaded from the internet. As evidenced in the artist's statement that he is not interested in pornographic photos themselves, the artist's gaze is fixed on how his subjects appear on the painting surface through poses and composition rather than on graphic depictions of them as objects of desire. This gaze that could even be called impassive is apparent in his style as creative well. Nudes and flowers are overlaid in the same dimension and integrated into the same layer in the image. The viewer does not recognize what is drawn at first because everything in the painting jumps out to the same degree. He strips the special meanings and stories behind his subjects through this almost mechanical processing of images. Emptiness is consistent through his works, but there exists something that never ceases to draw our attention, something that sets off his creativity and style.
