Shan Sa "Time in West, Light in East"
This event has ended.
At Chanel Nexus Hall
Media:
Born in Beijing in 1972, Shan Sa entered the literary world early, when the first poem she wrote at the age of 8 was published in a newspaper.
Following the Tiananmen Square incident, she went to France where she befriended the painter Balthus. In 1997 she was awarded the Goncourt Prize for best young writer, for a novel she wrote in French. Her third novel was published in 28 countries, and she received many literary awards. In addition to writing novels, she has also written screenplays and paints. She was named one of the 90 most influential people in France.
This exhibition displays her works as a painter, which take inspiration from her work to produce spiritual images. The confluence of Western and Oriental art styles in her work present a truly unique artistic world.
Invitation only on September 13th.
