Yuko Murata paints animals such as birds and bats that seem as though we have seen them somewhere before against backgrounds that we have never seen before, in compositions that feature dynamic forms. In this exhibition, Murata's fourth at the Side 2 Gallery, the artist displays new landscapes and animal pictures done with deft brush strokes.
