"Tokyo Hibi Shinbun," established in 1874, and "Yubin Houchi Shinbun," established in 1875 are the famous Nishiki-e Shinbun, newspapers with color woodblock prints. Within their approximately 2000-work collection from the end of Edo period to the Showa era(mid 19th to 20th century), Chiba City Museum of Art holds the extended collection of Nishiki-e.

This exhibition presents large prints from these Nishiki-e newspapers, looking back on history and comparing the major Nishiki-e works by Yoshitoshi Taiso and Yoshiiku Ikkeisai. A total of 176 prints are on display.
