Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura
Finished

Artists

Kiyoshi Nakagami
Light rising up from the darkness. Ethereal space created by light. This artist has created space and light that does not exist anywhere on his canvases. This is his first large-scale solo exhibition to be held at a museum. The 11 new works on display introduce the new frontier of this artist, who has been active in Seoul, New Delhi and Paris in recent years. In addition, 13 works starting from his early days creating paintings in acrylics in the late 70s will also be on display. Illusionary geometric works, vividly colored works from the 80s, works reminiscent of gold leafed screens from the late 80s to mid 90s and his works expressing light and space created after the late 90s will be on display, allowing viewers to trace this artist's development and anticipate his next works.
