Artists

Motoshi Chikamori, Kyoko Kunoh
This 2-artist unit, which has been active using the name "mimim++" for 6 years is holding a solo exhibition under the name "Motoshi Chikamori ++ Kyouko Kunoh".

The unit has been exhibiting internationally since 1998 when they won the grand prize in the first Japan Media Arts Festival Interactive Section. Their representative work is the "Ombreset Lumière" that was displayed at the Pompidou Center, but they have held media art exhibitions at various venues domestically and in international group exhibitions.

Their works use projector images as can be seen in their work "Kage" on permanent display at Tokyo Opera City, but they have an interactive element due to the artists' aim to create works that viewers can touch as well as view. Two rooms will be used for this poetic magical exhibition: one room is bathed in light, their biggest enemy, and one room shuts that light out. Updates on the exhibition catalog and other details will be posted on the gallery website.
