Tessei Tomioka
Tessei Tomioka (1836-1924) was an innovative painter who contributed to the Bunjin school of painting. He was born at the end of the Edo Era and patiently improved his skills as a painter during his 89 years of life. Today he is considered a member of the pantheon of Japanese painters.
