Makiko Harasawa "Air, Kuchen"

Gallery Room No.1 / Room No.2

Artists

Makiko Harasawa
Makiko Harasawa creates sculptural works based on her favorite things, such as jewelry and food. Sometimes they are presented on an enlarged scale, and sometimes multiplied and installed in a space, reflecting her messages in each of the works.

Harasawa's sculptures are often cast in plaster, wax, paper and other materials. She enjoys the process of taking objects out of molds and hopes that viewers can appreciate the simplicity and materiality of her work. "Kuchen", used in the exhibition title, means "sweets" in German.
