This is the first exhibition of this artist in four years.
"Destruction towards beauty; Strength that does nothing; Failure towards success."
Perhaps words are clichéd. There are three personalities within this artist, each of whom explore colour, line, motif and feeling. His works are the "ruins" of what he aims to express, both as an artist and as a regular person going about his life. They draw viewers into a beautiful, transient world of "stories" created out of the feelings he seeks to express. However, visitors to this exhibition can decide for themselves whether or not Kawanishi has changed or not over the past four years.
