Artists

Yuzo Kawashima
It has been 50 years since the notable filmmaker Yuzo Kawashima made his major film, "Bakumatsu Taiyoden" (1957). During the 19 years of his short career as a filmmaker, he created works that reflect his life, filled with a sense of dandyism. 39 works including the ones made while he worked at Shochiku are featured in this series of screenings.

Please refer to the Film Center website for more information. (Film lists are available only in Japanese.)
