The world's first man-made satellite Sputnik-1 was launched in 1957. Even now, 50 years later, the universe is vast, shrouded in mystery, and continues to move us. This exhibition features mostly select works from the museum's collection that were inspired by the universe or celestial bodies, and promises to be enjoyable for children and adults alike.

-Prints and posters by Keiichi Tanaami, Mitsuo Katsui, Alphonse Mucha (Czech Republic), Ben Shahn (US), Roy Lichtenstein (US)
-Prints by Yoshitoshi Tsukioka, Kunichika Toyohara
-Documentary video by Junichi Ushiyama and others

-Charles and Ray Eames' film "Powers of Ten" 1977
