Kazu Sasaguchi "White"

Finished

Artists

Kazu Sasaguchi
In this exhibition, the artis's first solo show at Zenshi, works with carved seals of letters and symbols applied onto the transparent glass and acrylic surfaces of frames will be on display.

The artist has been active domestically and internationally. Some of his works include the "Ball Work" series in which he uses small, deliberately-placed floating balls to represent the human body, maps that comprise only names of locations and portraits created from names of cosmetic products that were based on a poll.

The theme of this exhibition is "white." At first glance the viewing space is merely white, with nothing in the picture frame to look at. Approaching the work, the shadow of the information carved into the acrylic surface can be seen on the wall. These images are fleeting and fragmentary, and the viewers can piece together a whole image in their minds. Let your imagination do the work in this "blank" space.
