"Hiromi Tuchida's Nippon" Exhibition

Tokyo Photographic Art Museum
Finished

Artists

Hiromi Tuchida
This artist started being seriously active as a photographer in the late 1960sm and has photographed Japan's vernacular cultures, Hiroshima, the period of high economic growth, the bubble economy, and other images of Japan in transformation. His viewpoints are always unique, and his works are conceptually clear and express his consciousness about Japan as a country through experimental approaches. Japan's contemporary societal problems can be read through his works that traverse "self expression" and "intensive record-taking." This exhibition will feature new works and those from the collection to trace the entire bread of the artist's activities. Please see museum website for times and dates for curator talks and floor lectures by the artist and curator.
