Command N member Shingo Suzuki, continuing on the themes of "Maximum and Minimum" (Society and the Individual) is showing his new works at CommandN's Project Space Kandada. In this show, Suzuki uses ordinary objects from daily life as his material - matches, paper money, cable ties, small toys, plastic chain links and beads and, through the actions of amassing them, lining them up, spreading them out and piling them up, he creates a minimal and cynical environment.

New works to be presented include: A large sun-like object made from the small colourful plastic necklace-making rings popular in his childhood; large globes made of thousands of matches; a 10meter plus work based on PI made from 'iron on beads' and cranes folded from paper money. In this show, Suzuki displays the fractal relationship between the individual and society and presents us with the hope of a simple, gentle society of the future. Can the complexities of the world be represented with such simple materials?
