"Shadow Graph" is designed by the collaboration of Naomi Yamamoto, an apparel designer for "tiny dinosaur," and Yasuaki Kimura and Isuzu from the glass artists' unit "JUNIO". These artists have attempted to find the invisible and internal beauty of things that lie in their shadows. Using an original projector produced by JUNIO, light will pass through glass and knit to project images in this exhibition. The images will rise to the surface by using only shapeless materials such as lights and shadows. Yamamoto, who has used knits as the main medium for her expression even before the foundation of "tiny dinosaur," creates an installation of light and space formed by knit lines. Kimura says that tension, the sense of weight and the transparency that transcends the two is the essence of glass. The harmony and the originality of the materials will be drawn out from the contrast between glass and knit.
Opening Reception: January 18th (Fri), 19:00-21:00
