The creator has designed numerous products in collaboration with industry players such as Ryohin Keikaku, Matsushita Electric Works, MRC Du Pont de Nemours, Toutou Kiki, and Yamaha. His creative history spans 20 years and many products he has created during that time have steadily penetrated Japanese daily lives without their realization.
In this exhibition, actual products and prototypes that were not produced will be on display as well as the products' cross-sectional diagrams. According to the creator, one function of cross-sections is to communicate an object's structure or details regarding its form. On the other hand there are also cases where the shape of the cross-section itself has become the nucleus of an idea because drawing a cross-section actually lies at the center of the design process to create a useful, valuable product. The artist hopes that viewers will gain insight into the true nature of products that cannot be judged just by the cover.
